I drew Garnet again. I wanted to see how my progression with digital art (and well; art in general) since within the past year. I honestly feel like I've put a lot of focus into my drawings/paintings this year, whereas I was only casually drawing before and not taking it all that seriously. It's all down the this place, actually; I've been really inspired by all the incredible artists here who have been kind enough to share their techniques with tutorials, videos, step-by-steps etc.So, thanks to everyone for the inspiration, and for everyone else along the way with their encouraging words; I really appreciate it!

I know people nowadays hate distressed damsels, but if a distressed damsel can prove her worth as a badass in some ways it's more interesting than a character who kixks butt from page 1

I agree, absolutely! It shows a considerable amount of growth, as well as more depth and perception to the character. I guess that's why I love Garnet/Dagger so much; she really goes through hell and back and comes through it amazingly.

I may have little to no knowledge of Final Fantasy IX.... but that doesn't change the fact that this is beautiful and outstanding!

I have. I've played VII (though I never did complete it), X, and XIII.
Many of the others, I missed out on. Damn school and homework pretty much took over my life during those times. Nowadays, i'm just researching on wikipedia + Finay Fantasy wikia to try and be more up to date.

Yeah, I know. The more I research into the classics - and thus realising what I missed out on - you won't believe how many times i've found myself doing this: You say i was more responsible for prioritising school over gaming, but nowadays I question whether I made the right decision. hehe
Believe me, I really want to give some of these games a try, one way or another. I don't know whether it's sold out or not, but i'm hoping it's not too late to get a copy of the Nintendo DS edition of IV. Plus - although I don't know if it's true - but I have heard via wikipedia there were plans to re-release V and VI on the 3DS. *Fingers crossed*
