this is soooo not deviantarty. sorry.i haven't been around much for a while and wanted give a peek at what i am doing lately...focusing on my commericial work...bigtime...lighting and post-production.
beauty retouching takes absolutely forever. i could work on one picture for hours on end. there is such an art to creating perfect skin without blowing it out with lighting, or too much photoshopping, while still retaining some texture. She is so gorgeous and has such beautiful skin to begin with, but post time is long and grueling.
anyway, just a peek.

But u could work a little more on the skin tones. The face is a little different than the neck. Also, the face needs some more shadowing.

i love how smooth this picture is, the hair reflections are very nice but i think the reflection on the pupil is kind of unnatural looking, ususally its squarish and off to the side...

It would be interesting to see an untouched photo straight from the camera and this one side by side. I think it looks perfect and you did a great job on editing.

im working on a new ibook i just bought adn don have photoshop, i recently did a photo shoot and i totally knwo what you mean, even if yoru moedl has perfect skin, theres always blemishes taht show, and it really makes teh pictures crappy. But you did a really good job here. impressed.

good lighting and good makeup artistry are key. she naturally has beautiful skin as well.
otherwise, just alot of time with the healing brush, a light opacity brush sampling colors to paint at about 15 percent and using the clone tool lightly as well.

Tastycakes Baby ! I like the 1 eye in the sweet spot , the lines and texture of the hair in contrast to the perfect skin and collarbone angles below .Even the angle of the back leading up .. In critique I modestly offer a bigger f-stop or a hairlight for background separation ? Or maybe it's the color , more subject/background contrast ? ............
