I don't think I mentioned it before, but this summer I went to the Academy of Arts summer program. I've never been to a professional art class before, so it was quite the experience. I started with four classes; animation, flash games, figure drawing and maquette for animation. Maquette was my favorite class, mostly because the teacher was a friend to Tim Burton. She was chief of fabrication for Nightmare Before Christmas, and also designed the puppets for James and The Giant Peach. She was the sweetest little thing too! ^^ Anywho, this is the finished product of that class.

This is Leonaudo, a barn owl who will star in "Clover". I loved making each feather on him, it was lots of fun. Unfortunately, the material I was working with is prone to cracking like a butt when you bake it, so he's missing a couple toes and his legs are falling apart. I'm not going to sell him because he's my little baby Naudy! <3 But I am considering opening maquette commissions.
