Some days I wake upand all I feel
are the fractures
in the flesh
that covers
the only me
I’ve ever known.
Some days,
it’s those exact
fissures
that let the light
hiding inside me
pour out
and cover
in gold
everyone
that found enough beauty
in the cracks
to stand
close.

I think that you illustrated this poem perfectly.
On it's own the text convey something terribly sad and depressing,
but I think that's what makes it even more touching.
I feel like it's all about how solitude connects us together,
and you illustrated that perfectly, from the ghostly figures to the splashes of gold.
It's nicely executed and the contrasts makes the last panel very intense.
You definitly deserve a Daily Deviation for this, it's an impressive work of illustration!

You are a talented illustrator. This blew my mind. You could argue it was the poem, since I am drawn to all things poetry, but this drawing is what made it, for me. You really delved into the words, and felt them, and translated into your picture your own subtle nuances to hold their own weight and translation (I'm hoping this makes sense, because I'm running on about two hours of sleep). The way you draw the faces of your skeletons holds a charming appeal at the same time it draws sympathy and relation, and I think that's a special kind of expression. I just loved this - so much. It reminds me a bit of my own dysfunctional group of misfits.
I think what I find so likeable about your characters in this piece is the fact they are cold and skeletal, but then display this tender humanity, as if that, too, is a self-proclaimed hidden attribute to seep out only around those who are trusted. I don't know... I apologize for the fact I suck at expressing myself.
Let's start over: I loved this. It will stick in my brain for a long time. I hope you won't mind me coming back to creep on this artwork. I think you are very talented. I hope you keep drawing! I also hope you have a lovely day.

oh wow such... a nice compliment I don't know... what to say. I suck at expressing myself, even more when it's not my first language but... thank you a lot ? I have no words for such great... words! The only thing i can say is I made that drawing because I was really... feeling that poem, I could see myself. I was reading my fears and my hopes in it. I took it really personaly and then drew that thing with... hmm how to say that... part of my soul??? I guess that, to make a good drawing, you should put a part of yourself in it. that's why I was so sad when I saw that someone took one part of that drawing in class :/
But again, thank you a lot, it makes me... a little more determined
