"Only because you are refusing to listening to me, this isn't the only way."

"Listen, those wounds will heal, but the other scars will take longer."
"What are you talking about?"
"Your emotional scars… What she did to you was unforgivable and she will pay for it for the rest of her lifetime."
"And what do you know about my emotional scars?! Far as I can tell you just see my visible scars."
"The ones that you wear on your face, your soul. I can see them, which means others can see them…"
"Get to the point, I'm wanting to get this over with and your stalling me."
"I'm not stalling, I want you to make the right choice and not destroy yourself."
"You would like that, wouldn't you."
"What do you mean by that?"
"You always stood on the sidelines, bitching at everyone, coaching them, molesting
their thoughts with your input."
"And that's bad?"
"You always want to mindfuck people."
"That's not true… I want to help people."
"You pathetic waste of a being. You should be standing on this chair instead of me!"
"Wait… "
"I'll step down, you get on the chair, slowly put the noose around your neck…"
"Yes…"
"There, now tighten the noose so it's just taught around your throat."
"Ok…"
"Perfect… Explain to me why you are standing on this chair?"
"I'm standing here because I am nothing to this world, I'm nothing and that is all that I was destined to be."
"Keep going."
"I am a Virus on society. A plague to all it's habitants. I renounce all my connections to my family name. I here by destroy myself in the sight of myself, alone and unto myself."
"I like how you think."
"With this, I take my life to give other's the opportunity to not fuck up how I have. I
now forfeit my soul to Lucifer, the one true saviour."
"Step off. Good. Marvelous. I'll bury you in the shallow grave you dug this morning."

Thanks, yes, it was difficult to explain since it was one of those, "Oh damn, he just talked him into killing himself." and since I can see both character's in my head, I saw everything play out.

Ok, I don't mean to sound dense but I have to ask; Is the a conversation between self and self, self and God, self and another person, or self and some kind of entity?

In a nutshell, this is a dialogue between self and inner Demon. The Demon is tricked, and hangs himself. The symbolism being that with the end of the Demon, a new start can emerge. The burying of the Demon, meaning the memory and the experiences will be remembered, and then buried and forgotten. Self is lost, confused, angry and ultimately on the verge of suicide. The Demon talking to Self, triggers a realization, the reflection he sees isn't himself, rather it's his Demon. I was in the middle of writing for a New character and through the development process, I came to this conversation.

Ok. Now I get it. Self recognized it's own demon and kills it. I've got a few of those demons of my own. If only I knew how to kill them and leave them buried. (It's to easy to dig them up and bring them back to life)
