Description
Slowly you exhale,
Causing the air to turn white around your lips
I am stuck staring at the cloud as it forms
And then slowly leaves again,
Only to be forgotten and
Followed by another one just the same.
“Are humans like that?”
You slowly look up realize I’m talking  to you.
“Like what?”
“Here on earth
Waiting for our turn to disappear
And then only to be replaced by another,
One that is just the same.
Dose no one miss us?
Are we only here to fill a void?”
Your cold eyes gaze at mine.
“I don’t understand”
You reply.
Standing up I stare at the darkening sky.
The stars seem to be whispering to each other,
Laughing at us.
Waiting patiently for us to die.
