Description
Based on an old picture on my phone. This guy actually has quite the story and will always have a place in my heart. I found him one day in our apartment parking lot. Normally I don't mess with wild life that can fly away or tear my face off with long talons... but this guy wasn't scared of anything... not even cars and wouldn't bother to move. I watched him chase off a cat on his little patch of asphalt and I was even able to poke him with my toe (which resulted in him jumping onto my sneakers and proceeding to tear up the toes). My big concern was a car would hit him (he was in a parking lot after all) or a kid or dog getting a hold of him. It wouldn't be hard, he was too stubborn to fly off. So I grabbed some gloves, a large box, caught the little hawk and relocated him to the local wildlife park. When I set him free he flew to the base of a mesquite tree and glared at me. He wasn't happy with me but it felt good to get him out away from the city and all it's dangers.
