Description Songhu battle1937, Sino-Japanese war, Shanghai. Based on a true event of my colleague's grandfather, who fought bravely and KIA in this battle as a heavy machine gun battalion commander of the Chinese national army. My tribute for all the bravely sacrificed men, they are not forgotten. Pen and ink A3.

It's just people focus on the other parts more than the afforementioned conflict. I can readily name more European/Pacific battles than Songhu.

Indeed. The Nationalist Chinese bought weapons and uniforms from the Germans, including the mid-1930s version of the Stahlhelm. Various Chinese factions also bought special versions of the Mauser 1897 Machine pistol.
