Description -skit-

"Oh Jasper, Jasper where art thou?" the young lamb pondered as she gazed up at the star-filled night. The summer breeze ruffled her fur and shifted the large, orange flower nestled in her golden locks, a souvenir from this night's occasion. Her first homecoming had only just ended and young Theodora was tired from the excitement. Despite this the lady couldn't sleep. Her head buzzed with all the happenings of the previous hour.

She and her newest friend, Mary, attended the occasion. They danced and ate and joked about the first day of school. Later in the evening, the older students began to file in, hooking up with others and joining the dance. While she danced, Theodora couldn't help feeling exposed, though she knew not why. As she went to grab a drink she found her answer, in the corner of the gymnasium, the gang of the school perched, smirking at the dancers. The "gang" consisted of three, older, and rougher students. Theodora knew of them but not their names or appearance, since she had only begun her first year of school. She discovered that the gang's members included a possum, a croc, and a wolf, all dressed in jeans despite the occasion.

The gang took no notice of her, except for the wolf. His face was turned away but Theodora could see his amber eyes glinting under his brows. He was studying her, Theodora could tell. She could feel his flint like eyes scratching holes in her skin, piercing her flesh. She shuddered slightly but did not turn away. Something about this wolf was familiar, and she was curious to know why he had caught her attention.

Theodora lived on an orchurd on the left side of a large forest. Her father told her it was infested with wolves who lived separate from the town, though they still sent their children to school. Theodora remembered her father saying, "They contribute nothing but trouble." Perhaps she had glimpsed this particular wolf among the foliage while she was out tending to the plants? Something told her it was not as simple as this. The wolf's amber eyes reminded her of a sunset, and then the memory came flashing back.

She had been much younger when she disobeyed her father's orders and ran to the woods. The winter sunset turned the deep snow to vermillion as the lamb ran through the trees, her winter coat catching on the long, outstretched branches. After some time the lamb halted to catch her breath, and laid down on the trunk of a nearby tree. her breath came out as small clouds of warmth that she could not keep within. The snow seeped into her clothes and her nose began to run from the cold. She huddled beneath the branches, conserving as much warmth as possible.

Suddenly, the girl heard a rustle from farther in the forest. Believing it was her father coming to fetch her she called, "I'm here!" The rustling stopped, and was followed by a howl, then stomping that grew louder as it approached her. Her father couldn't howl, she realized, then ran to her feet. She ran blindly as she fled from the sound. Thus causing her to run into the ambush waiting. A group of four wolf pups awaited her on the outskirts of the forest. They snarled and taunted her with the image of her home in the background, so close and yet unreachable with these bullies in her way.

From the forest, a fifth wolf sprang in between them and began to fight the other four. This wolf was older by a few years, and left the others running with their tails between their legs. Theodora fell back, new fear of this even bigger wolf filled her. The large wolf turned to her, the same amber eyes glinting without compassion or contempt. Without a word, the wolf grabbed her hand and led her the last few meters to the fence bordering her home. There left her at the gate and just as he was about to speak, Clark, Theodora's father, burst out of the house armed with a shotgun. "Get away from my daughter!" He shouted. The wolf fled to the forest and looked back once on the border, then disappeared into the woods.

As Theodora reflected on her first meeting with the boy, the wolf had walked over to the snack table. Theodora flinched when he brushed her arm, waking her from her daydream. "What is your name?" he asked. "My name is Theodora." She whispered. He looked down at her, a faint smile on his face, "Well Theodora, i'm glad we got to meet again." He plucked a nearby flower, the largest and boldest of the bunch, and slid it into the folds of her hair. Theodora blushed slightly at the gift.

"Theodora!" Mary called, Theodora whipped around and called back, "I'm coming!" She turned again to the wolf. "And your name?" she asked, "Jasper." He answered, then turned and retired back to his gang. Theodora approached her friend, a large smile on her face. "I just met someone~" Theodora giggled,

Now back on her balcony, Theodora felt lonely. She wished she had asked more of Jasper. As she swooned over the wolf, a feeling of dread sunk in. He's a wolf, her father would never approve! "Oh Jasper, where art thou a wolf? Where art i a lamb?"

Hey guys! >< so here's one of my first attempts at a "painting" sort of way of shading and i want to know what you guys think! :3 So here we have Theodora, from my story, "Guardian Owned," thinking of Jasper~ the idea for this was heavily inspired by Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" which i didn't even realize until we read the book in class O.o Anyway i hope you like it! it was really fun to try out this style of shading ^w^

The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, for never was a story of more woe, than of Juliet and her Romeo.
Jasper, where art thou a wolf? Where art I a lamb?

(Very nice, very nice.)

i'm also contemplating whether or not to make "Guardian Owned" a tragedy, what do you think? should there be a sad or happy ending for this couple of mine?

Make it work out, but lead them into thinking it's a tragedy. Like, it'll be tough and a lot of things won't work out, but sometimes things have to get worse before they get better.

Yeah, we've finished it. Also, just so you know, the quote I used was the two last lines from the entire play, said by the Prince whom I read for during that scene.
