I really love it when someone creates something using only
the most simple of figures, shades and slight, fluid tone
changes - which you did (I believe it to be more difficult
than to actually draw everything, and I also think
creating impressions like this one is so much closer to
show what our reality is really like).
Very moody, and kind of melancholic, although those two
figures add more warmth to your work than any colour ever would.
I imagine them to be a father and his daughter, walking alongside
each other through a devastated, burned out landscape of a war.
Their house is probably gone, as is everything else they were attached
to, but what's most precious is still there for they still have each other,
and that is the only thing that really matters, as the walk towards
the ruined, once-great and magnificent city, which now lays in smoking ruins.
It's good this is black and white, because adding colours would kill
the melancholy in this. Really wonderful :*

It's so empty. Captures the feeling of the novel very well. Great job!
