About the watermark- it's your decision to have your own, just like most artists here have their standard signature in the corner somewhere.. but deviantart would also offer you to add a watermark with your username automatically when uploading it.

Do you think I should delete it? Could it put people off liking it then? Its just the standard one I use on my artwork when posting it online.

Nah, keep it here and for the next artworks you put up I would just leave it unless you consider it very important, that's your decision. Some people write their signature on the painting/drawing but actually assure their own copyright, it's a little complicated.
