Description This big squid-like creature lived in the Cambrian period and is a relative of the orthocone and got around the water by a hollow tube in its shell that shots water. It used its tentacles to catch its prey and chewed it with its beak.

Definitely a cephalopod. That's the family to which octopus and squid belong.

Yeah I think some of these shelled squids were as big as trucks. Imagine that!

Sounds scary. I've seen giant squid (AKA the Architeuthis Dux) from the present day washed up on beaches, and they're as big as humans; maybe even bigger. I'd even heard of this one cryptid story where some fishermen in Canada were in a little boat, and they were attacked by a giant squid. Its eyes were as big as dinner plates and its tentacles were very long.

Cryptozoology actually. But at least we've seen bodies of giant squid so we know that they're real for sure.
