beein doing some experiments recently, using my phone to take a photo of a sketch then bringing it into photoshop instead of using a scanner... pretty happy with this technique, alot quicker than a scanner!Related content

well its the sketch underneath it, so everything visible here is actually from photoshop

i roughed my comic pages straight onto photoshop anyway, but i did print them out and then draw over them.. then made alot of corrections in photoshop. need to improve on that as it was really time consuming! i wanna get a cintiq when ive got the cash.

oh yes..a cintiq is the dream! I would love to have one..but I'm always afraid that I will buy one and then not find it as useful as I thought it would be. did you see the Wacom inkling last year? [link]

will your phone take high enough resolution photos for a good printing of a picture tho? like 300 dpi+? (i don't use smart phones or anything, so i'm dumb on this type of thing)
either way, this look pretty great! i always look at your drawings and wish i had little triangle feet to fit into little triangle shoes. sigh.

you can change the image size or the dpi in photoshop without changing the quality. its really just a good way for me to bypass the scanner!

hum! i've changed the dpi in photoshop, from like 72 dpi to 300 -- it kinda of distorted the image, but i imagine with a sketch you're just going to go over, it don't matter much! hurrah, hurrah, down with the tyranny of the scanner!

did you untick resample image? it shouldnt change the quality at all, it should be the same , just dpi changes.

For using a pic took with a phone as a base, it turned out strangely great! (hurray for photoshop?) Also nice style! Seems original.

yea i think im gonna dump my scanner now. as soon as i get a cintiq its good as done with!
