Thank you and thank you for the fav
I'm using a 3D software called Poser 7 from smithmicro [link] That one is a bit expensive if you're starting out and want to see if you're going to like it, so you can do like I did a couple years ago and start with Daz Studio which is free [link] A lot of people prefer Poser but a lot of advanced users also stick with Daz Studio. On Daz site, you will find the basic characters which are free. That is what we used, basic 3D modeled characters, plus props, hair and clothes modeled by artists who sell them. In Daz store, you will find morphs and skin textures for the basic characters but you may find you also have some talent to do your own morphs and create your own characters. You will also find some clothes, hair and scene props. There are lots of freebies also available in the different communities, some that you can find in the Daz forums or at renderosity which is also very popular [link] . Renderosity also has a store to get model characters, hair and props. As I got experienced, I started doing postwork in Photoshop, giving them a more painted look, adding hair strands or accessories and often doing my own backgrounds, similar to what people do in photomanipulation. There are artists who get very good with Poser and Daz Studio, learn all the technical tricks and don't do postwork. You'll see what you like and what natural talents you have once you start And some people also start modeling their own clothes and props. Like I said, you will discover your own talents, maybe you'll get techie with the software, or find you want to model yourself, or like me put your energy in composition, lighting and postwork. Enjoy!

Wow. I love the colors you used, and the way you handled the transparency on the veil and the skirt. Excellent, excellent job.
