Now this is my probably the best watercolour I've ever done, back in 2016! Maybe even my best drawing ever. I just love it so much :3 I'm very proud oh how light and shadows came up, I'm proud of the pose (got many references for that one by the way), it was my first time doing this freckle thing with scales too! And since then I put it everywhere as you know
It was also my first time loving the hair ♥
That one was a huge confidence boost and inspiration driver through the years ♥ I must say that's also why I kept it to myself so long! I just wanted to reflect on it and understand it before sharing~ I hope you can forgive me
I used tubed watercolour on grain water, by the way! I was very doubtful about tubed watercolour but I was then UTTERLY convinced!

Je crois que c'est la première fois que je vois une sirène de dos, qui cache sont visage au lieu de le montrez.
Dans les autres oeuvres, elles n'hésitent pas à montrez leur beauté, leur l'assurance et leur joie de vivre.
Celle-ci est plus timide et repliez sur elle-même, comme si elle avait honte de quelque chose.
C'est rare de voir une sirène avec une pose aussi discret,
montrant de la peur, de la tristesse avec des tons (couleurs) froides et neutres pour accentuer ce mal-être.
Je me demande ce qu'elle a vécue pour être ainsi.

Je t'avouerai qu'avant que tu ne le souligne, je n'avais pas vraiment remarqué cette tristesse et tout ça... Ca peut paraître bête mais je l'ai peinte pendant une période où je destinais quelque peu industriellement pour évacuer beaucoup de sentiments et du coup je faisais ce qui me passait par la tête sans vraiment y réfléchir !
Ce que tu y vois correspond tellement à cette partie de ma vie que c'est presque effrayant xD
Bref, merci beaucoup d'avoir partagé ça ♥

Hé bien, je souhaite que son bonheur continue à grandir et qu'il ne faibli pas.
Si cela arrive, je tendrais mes coussinets pour un câlin doux. ^^
C'est très courageux de votre part de montrez un dessin lié à vos sentiments du passé.
Vous avez très bien capturer l'émotion à travers le personnage.
On a envie d'aller la voir et la réconforté (si on oublie les légendes sur ses femmes mythiques )
Le choix de la pose et des couleurs sont bien exploité. Chapeau! owo

Hmm, c'est vrai, les oeuvres sont les messagers émotionnels de leur créateurs et de leur créativités. Sans émotion et sans inspiration, la feuille reste vierge.

I am so excited to be back and active on DA after my long hiatus and I decided to share the excitement with others! I used to love hosting contests, featuring artists, and sharing favorites. i think it is very straight, there is no facade restraining her current state of feelings
for me it seems like she's very alone and has been hurt really bad and her gone runny fins only intensifyly shows her "wound"
i don't might be the detailst painting but is has some important details to it which let me feel bad for her
