Description ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU BE RESPECTFUL

*the story* This is about my husband Ron ~RdB1 He was diagnosed with Buergers Disease...what is Buergers Disease?[link] "CONTENT IS GRAPHIC
This is from smoking for 35 years. We noticed that his feet were turning black and daily it was taking longer every day for his toes to gain color. This was Christmas of 2011. He is now facing possible amputation of his left big toe. He must quit smoking, please go encouage him. He has cut back from two packs a day or 40 cigarettes to 10 cigarettes a day. I understand to all smokers. I smoked for over five years. When Ron was diagnosed I quit....cold turkey I have not smoked in almost 9 months.
I know its hard.....
When I told him my idea to help educate people he agreed for me to post this. He has been very strong, until Wednesday. 2-28-13. His Doc called and said that he also has possible mandible cancer. He has "Renal Artery Stenosis" or RAS. [link] This means that the artery that carries blood supply to his kidney is (in his case 80%) blocked. This is helped by putting in a stint. I will keep all posted on his progress!!!

Thromboangiitis obliterans is a rare disease in which blood vessels of the hands and feet become blocked.

Causes, incidence, and risk factors

Thromboangiitis obliterans (Buerger disease) is caused by small blood vessels that become inflamed and swollen. The blood vessels then narrow or become completely blocked by blood clots (thrombosis). Blood vessels of the hands and feet are especially affected. Arteries are more affected than veins. Average age when symptoms begin is around 35. Women and older adults are affected less often.

This condition mostly affects young men ages 20 - 40, who are heavy smokers or chew tobacco. Only 1 of 10 patients are women. Many patients also have very poor dental hygiene, likely due to tobacco use.

This disorder is very uncommon in children. It can occur in children with autoimmune diseases.

Symptoms

Fingers or toes can be pale, red, or bluish and feel cold

Pain in the hands and feet

Acute, severe

Burning or tingling

Often occurring at rest

May be worse with cold exposure or with emotional stress

Pain in the legs, ankles, or feet when walking (intermittent claudication), often located in the arch of the foot

Skin changes or small painful ulcers on fingers or toes

Usually two or more limbs are affected

Signs and tests

The following tests may show blockage of blood vessels in the affected hands or feet:

Special ultrasound of the extremity called plethysmographyy

Doppler ultrasound of the extremity

Blood tests for other causes of inflamed blood vessels (vasculitis) and blocked (occlusion of) blood vessels may be done. These causes include diabetes, scleroderma, and atherosclerosis. In rare cases when the diagnosis is unclear, a biopsy of the blood vessel is done.

Treatment

There is no cure for thromboangiitis obliterans. The goal of treatment is to control symptoms and to prevent the disease from getting worse.

The patient must stop using tobacco. It is also important to avoid cold temperatures and other conditions that reduce blood flow in the hands and feet.

Applying warmth and exercising gently can help increase circulation.

Aspirin and medications that open the blood vessels (vasodilators) may help. In severe cases, surgery to cut the nerves to the area (surgical sympathectomy) can helpcontrol pain.

If the area becomes so infected that tissue dies, it can be necessary to amputate the fingers or toes.

Expectations (prognosis)

Symptoms of thromboangiitis obliterans may disappear if the person stops tobacco use. Persons who continue to use tobacco may need repeated amputations of affected fingers or toes.

Complications

Tissue death (gangrene)

Amputation of fingers or toes

Loss of blood flow in the limb of the affected fingers or toes

Calling your health care provider

Call your health care provider if:

You have symptoms of thromboangiitis obliterans

You have thromboangiitis obliterans and symptoms get worse, even with treatment

You develop new symptoms

Prevention

Persons with a history of Raynaud disease or blue, painful fingers or toes, especially with ulcers, should not use any form of tobacco.

I like how cute and pervy picture is, but after some facts, this starts to make me sad.

after the new shocking animal crush with feets video on facebook and pretty much everywhere, i am shocked how much world end up now with THIS.
i start to think that these images actually gives very very bad influence for perverted people.
they wanna badly to try something like this so much that they start doing it with poor animals. animals dont feel any sexual treatment, they just get tortured painfully till death.
and dont tell me this is not related.
i can tell from myself, i newer been interested in giant woman crush pictures before as till i saw more and more then and i started to understand whats so sexy about it.
Except im not that dumb to do so stupid things with animals. but others seems to be are.

These weird fetish pictures actually triggers peoples to do horrible things in real life. think about it.
its actually a big big shame.
if i would be admin of this post, i would stop thinking for a sec about making bigger audience but clean up a lil bit.
but thats always depends on person how much YOU DO care for the others in world becoming sick-twisted killing persons just cause they got addicted to pictures you give them access to.

THIS PICTURE WAS DONE FOR MY HUSBAND WHO IS ILL FROM BEURGERS DISEASE, SHE IS CRUSHING A CIGARETTE.  THE PICTURE OF HIS BLACKENED FEET ARE IN THE ARTISTS COMMENTS, THIS IS TO BRING AWARNESS TO THE HARMS OF SMOKING CIGARETTES.  IF YOU THINK I AM ADDING SOMETHING FOR SICK MINDED INDIVIDUALS TO HURT OTHERS YOU ARE GRAVELY MISTAKEN.  Now I appreciate you bringing the situation you have seen to my attention, I am an animal activist and would never hurt any living being.  I have not seen any of this on facebook because I do not go looking for abuses.  If you have any more questions please direct them to the gallery moderator ^Aeirmid

Best is to never start.

I am glad I never did. Its better to have a uncool childhood than having to face this problems later, when I dont even see ONE of my old classmates anymore.

But Im pc-addicted. If that is any better ... ;

Right you are. He started so young, 10-12. Both of his parents smoked and are now deceased.
PC-addicted is fine if no one gets hurt. I am addicted to books.

I know how hard it is to quit. I'm not talking about myself though, (Obviously I'm too young to smoke. Not that I'm going to in the future anyways.) I am talking about a man I know of named Timothy. He'd been smoking ever since he was maybe...17 I think...? It wasn't easy for him, in fact he had actually tried to quit before and ended up continuing smoking. But, in 2009, he got a camera and smoked his last cigarette on April 7th.

Looking back, he shows that it CAN be possible, that you CAN do it! Like that dude Journey said, "Don't stop believing, unless your dream is stupid. Then you should get a better dream." ...I think that's what he said. XD (Gotten from this video right here: [link] ) But really, don't stop believing. .3. I believe he CAN do it someday! And, always try the path that leads to awesome.

It's no problem. His story is always such an inspiration to me, and I'm always glad to share it to the world. .3. And plus, the fact that he's also lost over 100 pounds in like, a year. Buuut, that's another story.
