Description
Finally I managed to paint a Lord of the Rings fanart This is a scene from the first movie, where Aragorn and the hobbits rest at the Weathertop.As I started learning watercolor I thought this would be a nice and easy subject for the beginning: clouds and sihouettes. Now I know dark clouds and dark subjects in general are not easy at all But I'm fairly satisfied with the clouds and sunset on the right, the ruines and the foreground.

Nice! I like the irregular patterns of light and dark on the clouds. Did you use the alcohol trick?

if you use a little dab of alcohol on a cotton swab, it bleaches out the color in an interesting way. I assumed that was how you did some of the crinkly edges.
