Nicholas licks everyone and everything, he was a dog in his past life lol. He's so sweet. Max is a serious guy, and loves Nick. Right now he's working his way through the board that separates them, he's got a big hole going. They are the cutest couple.. Two males XD

lol oh yeah. Sometimes Nicholas will go to lick him, and Max will nib at him next to his face, like "No more licking!". Here he just fell asleep so Nicholas was like *lick, lick, lick... look at Ruka... lick, lick*

I wish the horses had a more pleseant expression if this is to be indicating something as positive as a kiss. The color is nice and as is the contrast. The perspective would look a little neater if it weren't viewed from below so much and it'd be a bit better if there wasn't so little room on the right side of the bay. Other than that pretty weird to see a licking horse!

*shrug* can't help that, his ears are bent backwards because of the pipping is forcing one ear back. I wish he weren't looking at me though, they were both looking at me me with this "wtf?" face. Anywho, I have a few with his ears pricked forward, but he's not licking Max cause he can't with his ears like that. Perspective is actually the best given the time of day, any higher and I'd be having sun going right into the camera, and I didn't want to be over one way or the other, kinda wanted a frontal view of them. I guess I didn't need to crop it so tight on Max, but I don't know, I hate that black tarp that's right there.
lol Nicholas is the greatest. I went to pet him after the photos (aka let him lick me) and Max started to lick me too. lol Nicholas' habits are rubbing off on Max. XD

I wasn't degrading yourlooking for excuses. A critique is going to point out the minor imperfections in a piece. I ask for it on some of my work that I feel could use it, and if you select it you should be aware that some people might actually say something other than "how cute!"

It's not that, I'm just explaining why it is the way it is. I would have liked it to be more level, but I couldn't, fortuantly I'm quite happy with the present angle. And it's rather personal opinion about cropping and what not, in this case. At least I have it some what centered, instead of half off the image like some people >_<;;; ...It all depends on what the photographer/artist was looking for and the feeling they were trying to put across.
I wanted Nicholas to take up most of the image because he's the dominate figure (heh no pun intended on that one) in setting, and Max is just the subordinate one, hence why he's over more to the right. I wanted to go with a looking up angle (though not as much as this) with the idea in mind if I were a little kid. Tis all.
