That Morning

Blizzard sat at her desk, the image of the lop's red googles sitting atop his head going through her mind. Ruffling the fur on her face, she sighed heavily. "Now what...?" Came the muffled words. She glanced down at the unwrapped present she had already prepared to give him. It wasn't a big box, but a nice size with two compartments on the inside. In the spot to the left was her yellow googles that she had had since she was small. It wasn't anything expensive, but they were close to her heart. She treasured them... But seeing how this stranger had helped her during Halloween Havoc, she wanted to thank him properly, especially since he had broken his googles at some point during all the fighting. But now... They were fixed the last time she saw them. And of course, she had considered giving her bandana instead, but she always saw the lop wear googles... Besides, she had already made this choice even before seeing him; she wouldn't know what other item to give him.

The sound of shuffling paws came up to her. Looking down, she noticed Letif holding his bunches of flowers she gave him. Blizzard picked him up and sat him on her lap. "What's for here?" He quietly asked as he pointed to the empty spot in the box.

"Hmm? That's for these mini cakes that I made, remember?" She responded, pulling a plate of small cakes towards them. He stared at them, fiddling with his flowers.

"Make it pretty..." He mumbled as he plucked one of his flowers and reached towards the cakes.

"Oh! No!" Surprised, Blizzard held his paw back.

"........." He gazed at her with his big eyes.

Flustered, Blizzard stands up and places Letif on the floor. "You shouldn't give flowers to everyone, Lettie, others might get the wrong idea..." She whispered to him, before going back to the box and placing some small cakes into the empty section, and closing the box. "Just stay here for a bit, I need wrapping paper..." She left the room.

"Why not flowers?" Confused, but determined to spread the joy of flowers around the world, Letif scrambled up the chair and opened the box. He could hear her coming back already, so he quickly pushed two flowers onto the cakes; their petals sticking to the frosting and he closed the box. Jumping down from the chair, Letif met Blizzard by the door just as she came in.

She raised an eyebrow at him, but said nothing and went towards the box. She wrapped it in paper, and wrapped a bow around it. Satisfied, she paused, looking over at the gift the lop had given her. Maybe I should wear it?? she thought, otherwise, he might not recognize me... "Okay... Did you want to go with me Lettie?" She asked, looking down at him. He nodded enthusiastically.

Some time later, Blizzard finally comes across the lop and his tiny screaming child. Only for her to feel anxious and hang back instead. Letif stood there, watching her. She was getting flustered under the little bun's gaze. She spotted someone as equally small nearby. "Hey, Lettie. How about you go make a friend? That's really important for you..."

Letif looked to his left and saw this green draken, but then his eyes went big and sparkled as soon as he realized that this could be his first one to shower with the gift of flower joy. He instantly ran off, leaving Blizzard alone to question her own gift. She glanced back at her wings, the reddish brown vest loose around them. She sighed, frustrated with herself. "Okay, let's just do this..."

"Hey! Wait up!" She called over towards the brown nyulop, seeing that they might be leaving. "Um..." Her words left her as she approached. "Here!" She said, handing the box over to him. "You don't have to use it if you don't want to..." She mumbled quietly before saying, "Um... Thanks... Again... For fighting alongside me."

Blizzard wasn't really looking towards the lop, instead glancing over at Letif. He was offering a crown of leafy flowers to the young draken.
