Yay, some artwork for . An armored Ala, the armor doesn't look too back, albeit the color scheme took a bit to think of for it.

Here's a short story to go along with this:

Ala sighed as he adjusted his helmet again, making sure that his floating hair wasn't getting caught in it. He heard shifting on his bed and turned around from the mirror to see Jewels sitting on his bed, staring at him with a frown clear on her face.

"Do you really have to go? Why can't I accompany you?", she asked as she heard Ala let out a slightly agitated growl.

"You know the rules Jewels, no young pokemon are allowed to go out to the battlefield and fight. You always accompany me on small trips, yes and they are often times easy and we never have any bad encounters. However, who's to say that you go out there and are easily killed because you are so little.", Ala countered, understanding his companion's frustration. Jewels, however was not convinced as she huffed angrily as Ala approached her.

"I told you that no matter what, I am going to protect you. You are one of us, I understand, but you are to pure to become corrupted by the heat of battle. The last thing a young mind like you needs to see is a pokemon being killed."

"What if you never come back!!", Jewels shouted, startling Ala. He stared at her for a few minutes, waiting for her outburst to calm down. Ala's eyes softened as he gently picked up Jewels in his claws.

"Jewels...I know you mean well...but war is war. I promise you I will protect you, but to protect you is to put myself in the line of fire. You are the youth, I am much older than you my dear...if I were to perish, when you are ready...you can avenge me", he said as she held onto his arm.

"It's not fair", Jewels sobbed as he held her up higher and nuzzled his face against her.

"Life is not fair, in this time...it's what happens", Ala said as he let her cry against him. "I will try my best to be safe...I cannot be certain that I will be okay, but I will try."
