Bit of lore to this one...

So in 2019 I realized I knew how to edit my drawings to give them some neat little filters and effects that would create this retro aesthetic, and at the time I REALLY loved this track called "WAITING " by Vector Graphics, right? Even today I still love making art based on music I listen to.

If you click the link -- and assuming the vid/channel is still around when you do -- you'll see the album cover for "Midnight Love", and I wanted to make a piece based on this one track in particular AND the cover art for the album it was on.

I spent a lot of time on this piece, but uhhh... Quite frankly, it's old! Not only have I not properly drawn with MS Paint for years (a damn shame tbh) and my style has changed so much, the characters don't even look like this anymore! I wouldn't say it's "unsalvageable", but I would DEFINITELY need to start over to give it the TLC it deserves. The only thing is that now I use a tablet and FireAlpaca, so I would lose the charm of low-res mouse-drawn graphics unless I went back to MSP or just reduced the image size. There's other ways of course.

But I wanted to share this, because, even though it's really, REALLY old... it's kinda cute? I really like the colors so far, and it's just... a testament to my MSP era. I put too much work into it and like it too much to NOT share, so here you go. I'd put it in my scraps, but it kinda deserves the main gallery treatment.

For a general description of what's actually going on, it's obvious probably, but it's just Anadari and Hunter sharing a romantic moment beneath the moon. <3
