Description

The infection had died down after the last 8 weeks, Nick had brought Ellis, Rochelle, and Coach to say goodbye...Ellis was heartbroken. He stood away from Coach, and Rochelle, so still, and so silent.
"Well...guys. This is it...it's been hell here, but now that it's done, it's time I left.*Turns to Coach* Coach."
"Take care, Nicholas...don't get into trouble."
"Heh...I'll try."
Nick turned to Rochelle, and seen Ellis still as silent as a graveyard. He gulped roughly, and silently sighed.
"Ellis...ar-."
"I'm fine."
"*Turns back to Rochelle* Take care, sweetheart."
"Be careful out there, Nick."
Nick nodded, and seen one shy tear leave Rochelle's eye...he wiped it away, and looked at Ellis, who soon sadly sighed, he looked up at Nick, his smile nearly made Ellis smile, but sadness overwhelmed the young mechanic...Ellis tried to suck it up.
"Hey...suck it up kid."
"I'll...*Inhales then Exhales* I'll try...it-it is what it is."
"Hey...*Picks Ellis's head up* Chin up, sport...we might cross paths again."
"*Wipes a tear away* I hope it'll be soon, not later."
"It will...I promise."
Nick turned halfway around, then Ellis grabbed his collar, and brought him closer...he soon locked lips with Nick, then the kiss, mixed with Ellis's tears lasted nearly 5 minutes. It felt awkward, but relaxing at the same time...they soon stopped kissing, and hugged...Ellis's hyperventilating made Nick's shoulders move, while they were being soaked with tears...Nick's tears hit Ellis's hat. Nick soon whispered into Ellis's ear.
"Hey...I'm gonna miss ya."
"Imma miss ya too, man."
"Promise me one thing though...be strong...don't let this sad moment bring you down...you maybe young, but you have a strong body, mind, and heart...don't give that up...can you promise me that?"
Ellis nodded, Nick did the same. All three of the survivors watched as Nick soon disappeared behind the hill...Rochelle hugged Ellis...who stood like a cold lifeless statue.
"Hey...you gonna be alright?"
"Yeah...jus' gimme some time to myself...I'll be fine."
Rochelle nodded, then she, and Coach left...two hours passed, but Ellis never moved.
