SCENE 2
(Damien and Joseph walk on from stage right.)
Damien: So let me get this right. The Captain found a treasure map and won’t show us what’s on it?
Joseph: No she just doesn’t want to show you.
Damien: Well that’s rude. Let’s just want to get this done and over with.
(Violet enters stage left and walks towards the brothers and raises her hand with a big smile on her face.)
Violet: Yo!
Damien: Ho!
(Violet smacks Damien upside the head.)
Damien: Ouch! I was only responding.
Joseph: You really don’t know when to shut up Damien.
Violet: Now that Stupid is reprimanded, how about we get on our way to find the treasure!
(Violet points to stage left.)
Joseph: I hate to interrupt your moment Captain, but do you have your telescope?
(Violet spins around, placing her hands on her hips and glares at Joseph.)
Violet: How dare you even suggest that! I would never forget to bring my telescope! Now if you will excuse me I am going to see if the men made it back to the ship okay.
Joseph: Don’t forget your hat Captain! There are no clouds to cover the brightness of the sun!
(Violet walks over to Joseph and grabs her hat from him then walks off stage left. Damien and Joseph watch her walk away.)
Joseph: I will take that as a yes.
Damien: To her forgetting her telescope?
Joseph: Yeah. She can be so forgetful sometimes.
Damien: Sometimes? That’s funny because last time I checked, she always forgets something.
Joseph: Last time I checked when we were trying to take over that navy ship she forgot no one and helped us all escape.
(Damien cringes from the memory. He leans against the trunk of a tree and looks up to the sky. While he is looking away Violet quietly walks back over to the brothers, neither of them noticing her.)
Damien: At least she is a good Captain.
Joseph: I agree. She never leaves anyone behind and if one of the men dies, she takes care of their families.
(Violet stands there gaping at them.)
Violet: Holy Crap. You guys just both complemented me. Is there an apocalypse happening?
(Damien and Joseph jump away from the tree and stare at her.)
Damien: How long have you been there?
(Violet smiles and crosses her arms over her chest with a smile stretched across her face.)
Violet: Long enough to know that you both love and adore me!
Joseph: So not long?
Violet: Nah just heard the complement that’s all. Why? Anything you didn’t want me to hear? Like Damien huge love confession for me?
Damien: As if, no guy would be crazy enough to love you.
Joseph: That’s not very nice Damien.
Violet: I agree with Joseph, an attitude like that won’t land you a girl.
Damien: I disagree. I have gotten many women.
Joseph: Alright that’s enough you two. How about we go look for that treasure now?
Violet: Alright let us head out!
(Violet leads the two off stage left.)
