I think they would`ve been a good couple had Toriyama remembered Launch and brought back Raditz.
Goku spares Vegeta who wanted Earths Dragonballs for himself and probably wouldve destroyed the planet afterwards but fights Raditz
I know he kidnapped Gohan and told Goku to kill a 100 humans but thats nothing to what Vegeta wanted to do but was spared.
Imho I think Krillin shouldve stabbed Vegeta despite Goku asking to spare him (I cant stand Vegeta. I used to like him but hes such a dick now. AGAIN)
