UPDATE: These guys are now for sale in my Etsy shop www.etsy.com/ca/shop/StegoStas…

Finally stole my mom's sewing machine, and am now figuring out how to use it. The small whale was made using 's pattern from here www.deviantart.com/art/Whale-P… It really helped me get started.

The larger one was made with my own pattern. The smile was a happy accident. Super cute ^.^. I'm wondering if I stuck a tusk on if it could pass for a narwhal?

Apart from learning to use a sewing machine, this is also the firs time I've tried using this kind of fabric. So far I really like it. Not too much fraying, but man does the fluff fly. I almost want a mask when working.

You did an amazing job!  They are so adorable! I love your pattern for the big one.  My little one has a few kinks, so I am glad you were able to adjust for the small one.  I think the tusk would be perfect.  They are fairly similar.  A whale has a bigger head, but since it's cutie-fied, I don't see why it couldn't have a big head too.
