Personality
Nova is very reserved. She is actually a passionate and determined pony deep down, but is just pretty burnt out, and dull because of that. She comes off a little alofe to other ponies and sometimes she can even be down right standoffish as she quickly gets irritable.

She tries to avoid anything non serious (or what she deems to be unimportant and irrelevant to her). She thinks if she “acts young” she won’t be taken seriously as a soon to be princess. The word “mistake” isn’t in her dictionary.

She is very clever, smart and quick witted. all she ever does is study, do her princess stuff and train or workout. Her world is consumed by the secking of everyone’s approval, she constantly overworks herself because of the high standards she is held at and the expectations everyone has for her.
She has a tendency to always place work before her well being and has a rep for being very well behaved as a kid and introverted, but proper as a young adult, and prefers to do things ALONE! She never ever tries asking for help.
Most of the time she sets up a facade, looking as if she is very accomplished and content, but her private life is not very fulfilling, to put it that way. She never gets a chance to rest, and desperately tries to ignore her own feelings and needs. She does realize that she is depressed, but doesn’t really know what to do about it. In her mind this is just the way things have to be.
She often likes to wear her hair up in a low ponytail or a braid.

Relationships:
Nova basically doesn’t have any friends. Her “friend” group consists of snoopy high class kids. Either it’s someone she went to private school with or her parents are friends with their parents, but none of them actually care for her. They only care for status and their parents' money, so not the best environment.
Her work and training gets in the way of making new friends and She’s kinda bad at socializing. She comes across as a very serious person and also a bit intense to more levelheaded ponys. Everypony is usually a bit intimidated by her and she thinks “she’s better off without their judgement”, but she actually just has a bit of social anxiety and is very scared of judgment.

When she was a little filly she had a lot more friends, and she was especially close with Amber Lucy at that point, but Nova pushed them away when she got older. Others who knew her back then would say she completely changed as a pony when she got her cutiemark.

Mother/Twilight
Currently her and her mother aren't as close as they were before nova got her cutie mark.
She’s twilight's student (Twilight has taken over celestia's school), but doesn’t really get to see her mother, apart from her classes, and in class they strictly only engage in a student teacher way. Her biggest fear is to disappoint her.
Twilight doesn’t have much time for Nova as well. Official friendship business does come up quite often for Twilight, and she doesn’t even see the stuff Nova is going through, as she two is stressed. It has been hard since Celestia and Luna aren't there anymore and Twilight have had to take both their positions.

Father/flash
Just like her mother, she rarely gets to see him, but in contrast to Twilight it’s not because he’s busy but because Nova buries herself in work to not feel, and keeps everyone at a distance at all times.

Sister/ Moonlight
She also keeps her sister at a distance. Her sister is probably the person she is the closest with though. But she is away on tour a lot, so they rarely see each other as well, but she does always look forward to spending time with her, at least most of the time. Nova does have some kind of spite for her sister. Moonlight was born with wings and a horn. The thing that would solve all Novas problems. Maybe the shameful jealousy and hatred that Nova feels is why she holds back on opening up to her sister.

She Got her cutiemark very early on. It shows how she is destined to take the place of Luna and Celestia and raise the sun and moon.
It is expected of her to do something extraordinary like her mother to become an alicorn and a princess. How can she become an alicorn when she is not capable of doing magic, she worries about, so she tries desperately to make up for what she’s clearly lacking in the magic department, with other things such being an extreme overachiever but even if she studys all magic, and knows all magic books forward and backwards, she can’t perform it.
