Really awesome! I love how you've blended the colours in his hair and his eyes look really intense too.

Thankyou - Bowie's hair in that film is just all soft & strokeable - lots of fun to try to recreate

I love this drawing which is in my favorite of course. Just amazed!! Perfect picture done by simple touches. The hair just looks pretty and real. I don't know much about how to draw but would like to know how you could draw like that. Do you normally use Tablet?

I always use a Tablet for my digital stuff as it's instinctively easier to use - like using a pencil. Working with a mouse is difficult, time-consuming & frustrating, but there are some artist out there that only work that way & it's amazing what they can create.

What I like about working digitally is you can easily edit work, it's easier to correct mistakes & you can use a range of effects that are harder to manage in real life e.g. paint - I don't have to wait for it to dry or worry the colours are going to bleed into eachother. Plus, it's much cheaper than buying expensive art materials.

I see. The reason I asked you about it is because I'd have thought that your drawings look absolutely professional. I mean the drawings looks like they are done by someone who learnt how to draw in a course. That's also why I bought a tablet hoping that I could improve my drowings. Eventually, I got the delivery of the tablet which is Aiptek Slim Graphics Design Tablet 600U Premium II last friday. Tried to use it but it seems I need more time to get familiar with the tool.

I understand now you use a Bamboo tablet but didn't know that before I had ordered the product. What happened previously was that Jez sent me an eamil with a link of Aiptek in Ebay with his intention to show me what a tablet looks like. But I misunderstood it was recommendation from you. I was too excited to be prudent,LOL. I am not good at using the tools like that and need some time to learn how to use it properly. Anyway, I'll show you what it is when you come up here in Sheffield to see us and hope that I could get some advice from you about the prodcut from your exerience if you don't mind

Although I have not been able to draw as much as I would like, I feel this site is just a great fun!

Most Tablets work in a similar way & I'd recommend downloading GIMP as it's a free art program which is very much like Photoshop. If you're not used to Photoshop however, you might find it a little difficult at first.

You might want to just try doodling in MSPaint to get the feel of the Tablet if nothing else...

When we come to see you next I'll show you some techniques, although playing with the tablet yourself is helpful & there are lots of tutorials out there, the easiest way to learn to use it is to watch someone else

Thankyou kindly! I needed to capture that softness...it took quite some smudging!
