Edit: Thank you to ^deshrubber for the DD feature. I have to say it is surprising to get such love for a piece of abstract art. I've heard people say that abstract is easy but I actually think it is one of the most difficult styles to get right. Very, very cool. I like all the different textures, and I'm glad it's abstract because it means we can ust appreciate each element for what it is, without any distracting story. The colours are stunning, especially the ones in that bottom right corner.

Oh, this is lovely! The contrast of the light and the darkness is so beautiful, and those little green shapes are mesmerizing. I wish I could see this without the words, but I guess you need to keep them there.

OMG.. i am in love, the texture, the color, the mix of color, the complements, and the picture, i can tell that that's a lady sleeping or something close to that, and its just so war and yet calming i don't know i am totally in love with this...

Thank you! It is hard to say how long it took me. Generally these take me one night, sometimes more depending on how many layers I have. I don't like to create art that takes a long time. If I feel an emotion I want to get in on canvas fast. That is why I don't paint people very often because I just want to be quick and expressive with an abstract. My inspiration for this was color. I wanted to see that aqua and gold near one another and I got the sensation of black ink running though it so I added that too. I guess the inspiration is as abstract as the piece!
