so! i have no idea why i thought this was a good idea. maybe it was the weather, and the fact that classes today were decent.i dragged EVERYTHING outside (after doing the wash) and tried to paint with the paper taped onto the arbor vertically. there were problems. i ended up in the shed.
things to avoid for next time's outside painting:
- dogs & cats
- WIND
- dirt and mulch
- unsticky tape
- stinky paint
- WIND
- not warm enough clothing
- painting people i can't paint well
- WIND WIND WIND
regardless, it was fun despite the elements, animals and problems. XD this one is acrylic and waterrrrrr.

Man, painting outside is HELLA awesome except for the part where everything tries to attack your painting/paint. How big do you usually work?
ALSO, I <3 this painting with great intensity. Seriously, the eyes, the nose, and the COLOR SCHEME are my favorite part.

Most of my paintings are 15 x 21. My dad works with printing, color correcting, and other stuff with magazines and catalogs. ANYWAY, the proofing machine uses thin sheets of color and in between the sheets are these board things. They're like, not thick at all, but not paper thin, and they have a normal side and a glossyish side. So I have an abundant supply of them and that's basically all I paint on. That was such a ridiculously long and boring answer. I am sorry.
