Part of my Women of the World series

For each of these images I wanted to create a sort of physical embodiment of each nation (an allegory, if you will). In their outfits I tried to replicate as closely as possible not only a traditional costume from their countries, but also the colors and patterns of the national flags.

For this one I decided to combine the flag colors of the two Koreas (which are almost identical anyway), since there was no way to choose or alter specific patterns or colors on the clothes. It also creates a nice sense of national unity.
