I adore Disney's Sleeping Beauty and consider it one of my favorite classic Disney films. I've always loved Princess Aurora as she's one of my favorite Disney Princesses. Although I would love to make improvements on this movie.

1. Add in Scene's of Briar Rose's childhood, going through an identity crisis, and having vague memories. She would sometimes walk in the village near her kingdom and see a portrait of her parents and herself as a baby. This would foreshadow her finding out about her royal heritage.

There could also be a part during her childhood where she encounters Phillip as children and start talking, only to be chased away by Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. Although content living with the fairies, Aurora/Briar Rose feels trapped living with them, she wants to know more of her past, make her own choices, and where she came from.

2. Give Aurora more dialogue after she wakes up from Phillip's kiss and greeting her parents. Also give Phillip more dialogue when escaping Maleficent.

I was disappointed that Aurora didn't have anymore dialogue after Phillip frees her from her curse and should have a moment of their reunion before meeting their parents. Phillip leading the Fairies out of Maleficent's fortress speaks orders when running away.

3. Add in songs similar to "She is More Than This", "River Lullaby", and "In My Dreams".

With music from "The Sleeping Beauty Ballet" and maybe the fairies could have songs, and Aurora another song of wanting to find her identity. She hums a lullaby, she believes she heard from someone a long time ago.

4. Give Queen Leah a song, similar to "The Prayer" from "Quest for Camelot" and scenes with King Stefan where she worries about her daughter.

With Queen Leah, only having two lines in the movie and not having an active role. She would pray for the safety of her daughter and wished to be with her to see Aurora grow up, and didn't want to lose her. She would have a song, watching the Three Fairies flee to the forest with her baby daughter and sings a prayer that her daughter would be safe.

5. Add in Aurora and Phillip's wedding (2-3 years later), when their announce their vows they explain why they loved each other. Aurora states that she loves Phillip for his bravery, courage, and loyalty. Phillip loves Aurora, not for her beauty, but for her compassion, empathy, and endurance.

This here could also make Phillip and Aurora's relationship more meaningful and have practical sense. For a few years, they get to know each other better and make a reasonable decision that they truly loved each other.

These are my thoughts on how I would fix Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty. No rude comments please.
