Description Nagatiersden (Naga)
Natakatierdens(Nataka) loveszelinkstuff.deviantart.co…

Naga’s are feathered, reptilian , six-legged creatures that do not possess eyes, while their cousins- the Nataka’s- differ with the advantage of sight.
Nagatiersdens rely on their sense of smell and hearing most, disregarding taste until they are hungry and hunting. They are a bit larger than the average school bus at full size, but are in fact a vulnerable species because of their lack of sight. It is unknown to how many exist, but not many have been spotted.

It is unnatural for a Naga to hatch with lack of feathers or scales, but a minor decrease in the number of feathers when hatching is usually classified as normal because of the young age. Mating season for them occur every fall, when the weather is becoming nice and cold. They love the chilly wind, and because of their unusual blood type and temperature needs, Fall is a great time for incubation. Winter comes afterward, which is slightly difficult for the nearly developed hatchlings to finish incubating and hatch in the oncoming Spring, but it's normally never fatal for them unless extreme conditions take place.
Deformed hatchlings can occur if this happens, which can lead to the young ones death at a premature age.

These creatures can live for decades upon decades, even without their sight, but being so vulnerable, the estimated age limit is from 10 years to 1300 years of age. Each level of maturity has pro's and con's.

Hatchlet (Baby)- During its first few years of life, a Naga is incredibly easy to kill. It's hunting skills are weak as well as its battle preformance. However; these babies don't tend to stray too far from the nest, and their parents are very protective.

Young Adult to Full Adulthood- Here is where their skills begin to incline. Hunters find these young brutes prowling solo around their habitat: a sodden jungle. These wander, searching for their own territory to claim as well as a girlfriend or mate to claim as their own. They are poached for the beautiful marks on their scales and the colorful designs of their feathers, as well as for the skin on their hide, meat on their bones, and thorn sharp talons and teeth. Many hunters who meet them usually get lucky and score a few, but others push their luck and accidentally make too much noise or misdirected where the wind is blowing.

Elders- Being incredibly heavily armored by huge scales and strong, tough skin, these are rarely ever taken down. Being at such an old age, these carry wisdom, and can even speak multiple languages. They also carry a multitude of spells. Those who are too old to even defend themselves or die trying to, can make the poacher who killed it rich with the amount of skin and such they collected. Not many adults make it to the role of an Elder.

The gender of the creature can be specified by the size of the chin spines and length of the head crest feathers. The color of the feathers are duller than the males, even if they cannot see each other, they distinguish genders by....scent.
The males attract the females with a special call. The call is close to a screech and whale sounds mixed. To humans it's a earsplitting racket, but to females it's a beautiful meody.

THESE ARE AN OPEN SPECIES!
Your can create your own Naga if you wish, just give credit to me for the species x3

The colors in the reference sheet, if you are confused, go by the placement of the species markings.

The big circle holding everything is obviously the base color. The line through it it representing the stripe marking, and of course, the dots represent the spots on the entire species. The while creature is covered in scales, and only a few areas have feathers. It can fly, even without wings. It uses magic to fly, magic that grew with it since it was a Hatchlet.
