Description This photo was created with two “darkroom techniques”. A photographer named Jerry Uelsmann mastered the first technique.
Long before Photoshop and other contemporary computer graphics programs, Jerry Uelsmann began using conventional darkroom techniques to produce glowing, seamless prints of impossible subjects.

He is considered a master of the photo montage and pioneer of photo manipulation in the darkroom. Uelsmann, who has been exploring, and pushing, the boundaries of photographic medium for over 40 years, experiments with complex multiple prints, negative imagery and other techniques to convey his personal vision.
His dreamlike surrealist scenes of the completely implausible was what inspired me to waste countless boxes of photo paper to come out with something that proves why I do most of my stuff on the computer.
*sigh* ...At least I tried.
This is probably the most subtle of those experiments, and ultimately the most successful. It’s a combination of only two negatives with a bronze tonal wash.
This photo awarded me with another honorable mention in the Festival of Flowers photography exhibit.
