This reminds me of some of the recent works a friend of mine who digitally renders things using similar programs that you use. He rendered complex textured knots such as this one. So, guess he wasn't the only one getting into it.
Nice lighting, and the edge detailing seems much more improved than the last picture I commented on. Interesting texture too that appears both pixelized and realistic at the same time.
