Description
Commission for MC4E84 . Austra is out for an afternoon drive. She's removed the high heel from her right foot to make it easier to work the pedals. Seeing a long stretch of relatively straight road ahead and feeling the need for speed, Austra suddenly mashes the gas pedal and accelerates!
I've provided a cutaway view through the vehicle's center console so you can see her fabulous feet. Also, this is the second time I've drawn Austra in this particular outfit, because I really like it. And this is the third time overall her snakeskin pumps have been featured. I think it's safe to say those are her favorite shoes!

I've been wondering...since her feet seem smaller than they originally were, would you say that her shoe size has changed? How high are the heels of these shoes? They seem pretty tall, even for her!
It also occurred to me that there are actual anthro snakes in her world, so would meeting one while wearing her snakeskin pumps lead to any awkwardness?
Finally, what are the chances of the right shoe ending up missing?

I think her feet may be closer to sixteen inches long rather than the eighteen inches I originally thought they were. This would put her shoe size at around 25, instead of 33. I intended the shoes to be the same ones as in this pic:
Remember that I said those heels were six inches. But the heels here definitely appear to have higher heels than those. Maybe eight or nine inches. So maybe they're a similar pair, but with higher heels.
The shoes, of course, aren't real snakeskin. Yes, that would be *very* awkward in a world of anthro snakes. I *have* thought about this. I think it would be roughly the equivalent of wearing an item of clothing influenced by another culture, like someone in the Western Hemisphere wearing a kimono or a qipao. Probably most snakes would be cool with it, but I'm sure there'd be a few who'd accuse Austra of "co-opting ophidian culture". Still, I like drawing animal-print clothing on anthro animal characters, as strange as the implications can be. I find that I particularly like drawing mammal fur patterns on reptilian characters (like Nia's zebra-print skirt or Turja's leopard pumps... er, pump. 
As for the chances of the right shoe going missing, I was going to say that they were very slim, since the shoe is resting on the seat inside her closed car, but then I remembered that Austra is wearing the exact same outfit she wears in this pic:

In fact, I like to think that Austra here is driving to Turja's place to pick Lacerta up, and she's about to perpetrate the shoe-hiding prank. So by the time Lacerta is in the passenger seat, she'll want to get back at Austra, and that snakeskin pump will likely be the target!
