Lucky bugger, I've wanted a turtle since I was young, yet my parents said I wasn't responsible enough for one...so instead they got me a big dog...now that I think about it, dogs seem to need more responsibility than turtles, dogs you have to walk, pick up poo, brush, trim nails, in addition to feeding and watering, with turtles you can feed and water and clean their tank, I think that's about it...well not sure what my parents were thinking back then

I got water turtles for 2 or 3 years and they all died, and I have no idea if it was because we didn't take care of them properly or if they all just became sick
But I got a dog since forever and she's awesome

Actually, turtles are supposed to be easier to take care of then dogs. I have 2, and one of them has been our family since I was born (15-16 years so far) [its a box turtle]
