Backstory:
It all started with a nightmare. That was the one thing that Iedolras remembered. When something happened, it always started with a nightmare that terrorised him beyond recognition and any and all common sense.
A nightmare he got when the clan’s crops started dying and they predicted it would be a hungry century for the fair folk.
A nightmare he got when some of the clan members started to fall asleep, never to wake up.
A nightmare he got when the first of the foreign ships stumbled upon their secluded and hidden by numerous spells little harbour when he was young.
It all started with a nightmare, then turned to fascination.
That ship fascinated Iel, the people there fascinated him even more. In his heart he knew he wanted to travel the high seas just like them. Those people, with their ships, and their weapons and their treasure maps and their gold. But he couldn't, not before he got his card, not before everyone and himself knew what he was and what he was to be.
What started with a nightmare, turned to fascination, was quickly transformed to determination once the elf had decided for himself what his dream was and talked it over with the elders of the clan - though he didn't share the true reason for his desire to go on such a trip and instead told them he'd be off to look for a cure for the mystery disease.
The elders weren't thrilled to find out of the Dunadriel heir's wish, but nevertheless they couldn't refuse him once he begged them. Instead, they decided to train him harder than any other elf before to make up for the years he would lose while crossing the high seas with his crew.
Each of the 5 elders (represented by the cards The World, Justice, The Hanged man, the Hierophant and the High Priestess) gave him a different gift preceeding his departure the day after his ceremony.
Justice gifted him with the feather that adorned his hat.
The Hierophant opted for giving the young elf runes, and an advice to never forget where he came from.
His sword was from The Hanged man.
The High Priestess blessed him with a pistol, to mirror The Hanged man.
While The World, his own father, bestowed him with his very own magical ship, obeying only him, with which he could sail the high seas.
But there was a sixth elder, who, in assumption of betrayal had his card taken away from him and his existence banished. One, who did not like how Iedolras would decide to leave them so easily and instead ambushed him on the first town after his departure, cutting his arm off and leaving him for death.
There he was found by a healer who did not to stay cooped up in his small shop and who, along with his brother, a blacksmith, created the elf a magic prosthetic to make up for his lost arm.
Eternally grateful, he blessed the blacksmith and his wie with good luck for all eternity, while taking the healer with himself as his right-hand man, to sail and scavenge the high seas like the true pirates their calling made them to be.
Abilities:
The Ras Men'Al clan's magic is birthed with the representative card for each one of them. The Wheel of Fortune gives the following powers:
[FORTUNA MAJOR]
As the Wheel of Fortune, Iel can bestow good luck on himself and anyone he deems deserving of that. He can also bless objects with Fortuna Major and those objects would bring positivity, and also be repaired should they be damaged. The bigger the object the bigger the strain on the elf.
[FORTUNA MINOR]
As the Wheel of Fortune, Iel can bestow bad luck on himself and anyone he deems deserving of that. He can also bless objects with Fortuna Minor and those objects would bring negativity, and also be broken or destroyed. The bigger the object the bigger the strain on the elf.
***Both Fortuna Major and Minor are more of a passive ability, not too suitable for fighting
[DRAMATURGIA]
As far as offensive abilities go, Dramaturgia is the only one Iel has and knows how to use. It consists of Black Lightning magic, which he can channel and wield through his fingertips or the blade of his sword. Downside is that his whole body turns on static and gets enveloped in it, which isn’t pleasant in the slightest. The more the black lightnings swirl around him, the more angry he is and the more static he releases.
[AUGEO LUNERA]
He’s a captain, alright? And a captain needs his ship. To ensure he’s always with the vessel, Iel has the Augeo Lunera - which lets him control the size of the ship. Usually, the ship is in two primary sizes - one, to fit a small bottle, that he usually carries, and two, the big, lifesize ship that is the pride and joy of Dunadriel.
[ARCANA FAMIGLIA]
As a member of the Ras Men’Al clan, from a young age, Iel specializes in reading tarot cards and runes, and he is usually seen reading his very own deck when he needs to know what to do.
Strengths & Weaknesses:
+ A natural at handling different situations involving people
+ Empathic
+ Easy Going
+ Expert swordsmanship and gunmanship
+ Ambidextrous
- Alergic to most spices and plants which makes him sad
- Has an emotional lisp

- If he uses Fortuna Major/Minor too much he can over-exhaust himself and enter a state of Catatonia
- Demiurge
Relationship Status & Orientation: A raging pansexual || PLEASE tame him
[FAMILIAR]
Demiurge - Ventus*** - Sappling
Often perched on the Elf's shoulder, hat, or floating in Iel's general direction, the small ventus sprite is a rather calm and level-headed individual, often serving as the voice of reason. More often than he is found napping if he's not needed to stir the elf to the right path. Demiurge, however is not unlikely to throw a fit and is quite capable to scold his master, sometimes going as far as lifting the male's tarot deck and spilling it around - though that requires an excruciating amount of magic from the sappling and has only happened once - in which situation Demiurge was so angry at Iedolras that after his tantrum he shut him off for two weeks.
***[VENTUS], plural Venti are creatures made of storm clouds, depending on the stage. During their evolution they can resemble a wisp, a blob, small birds and flying animals up until the mount stage, where they all resemble pegasi or simply horses. They can create small gusts of wind and either rain or lightning depending on what kind of a cloud they are based. Demiurge himself is based on stormclouds.

*Big eater and even bigger drunkhard
*if you’re smaller than him, you’re gonna be an armrest
*Demiurge is the only good thing that exists in this world
*Loud and brash but has a good heart
*The Ras Men'Al clan is all represented by the cards of the Major Arcana. When Iedolras decided to leave his court they had to speed up his Initiation ceremony that usually doesn't happen until a lot later in the Elf's life, so that he could get the card representing him. He got the Wheel of Fortune, upright. He also got gifted his own tarot deck and runes, that he uses to read with his decisions. It is one of the only things that was so ingrained in his culture that he can't get rid of, along with his magic, that he can't help but compare everyone he meets with a specific card.
