Here's a reference for my (neglected) character Nix!! I LOVE how he turned out! I spent so much time on the scale details but I'm so proud of myself for going the extra mile :>

Nix is a Hive/Sky hybrid with firescales. His firescales, however, are not your natural firescales. The heat is mostly condensed around his talons, spine, wings, and tail, with heat vents along his sides. Nix is a very intimidating figure to stumble upon and many stay far far away from him. He uses his terrifying stature to gain power over other dragons. Nix believes the only way to get far in life is to use any force necessary to stay on top.
