So now I will write a little bit about some decisions and plans I made for this series:

1. Originally I wanted to make a series in which Ran is the one who gets poisoned, but that would be so unrealistic and I would have to pull some series strings for plot armor, in order for it to work out.
The reason for that is, it would just make no sense for Shinichi to not uncover the truth immediately. Heiji only needed two days to figure out the truth and it is probable that Shinichi is a little bit better than he is. Besides he has known Ran for years, so the story would just be a story how adult Shinichi hunts the organisation while a child Ran goes to kiddy school (as if Shinichi would put a Ran in child-form in any danger, when he doesn't even want the adult Ran to come close to the organisation.) That's why I changed the story.

2.As you might have noticed, while I followed the original chain of event (something I will continue to do, at least for the beginning), I change the dialogues of Vodka and Gin. The intention behind this is to give them more distinct characters. As for now, in the original Gin seems to be an absolute genius and Vodka is just a small henchmen, what is a rather odd pairing for such a dangerous organisation. That's why I want to make Gin to a character, who is very good in planing and fighting but sucks at social interactions and can't cope with "stupid people". This task, like blackmailing and hostages, would be handled by Vodka who understands the average person better and is more charismatic than Gin.

3. As a little peck for the next chapter, I do not plan to let Shinichi and Ran stay with Kogorou, because I seriously doubt that even he would be dense enough to not recognize his own daughter. However he will have his own role in the whole story, which should give him enough to do. As for the future home of Ran and Shinichi, I can say that they will stay with some well know characters, but not Agasa or Shinichis parents.
