I liked Balin best in the book but ORI WAS MY FAVOURITE ONE IN THE MOVIE, he's so adorable. He's the shy little linguistics nerd bein' pushed around by his big brothers and I LOVE HIM.

I still can't get over how damn cute he is, all bundled up in his knitwear with his dodgy soupbowl hair cut! In truth though, I loved every single dwarf in the film. They did such a good job of making each of them into an individual.

Yeah, I think Peter Jackson and crew did an amazing job of giving them all unique appearances and personalities, without doing anything Professor T would disapprove of. I love them all too. Hardcore Dwalin with his tattoos and big axes, sweet little old Balin, Dapper Dori, Oin with his ear-trumpet, Gloin with his large noisy Gloin-ness, Fili and Kili the prettyboys, Silly Bofur plus awesome hat, arrogant-but-noble Thorin. Even the ones who didn't get to do much like trident-headed Nori and axe-in-head Bifur, and Bombur who was just "the fat guy who is mostly just here for comic relief"... But Ori is my precious little babby. :3 I wonder if he does his own knitting. :3

I haven't even seen this movie nor have I read the book, but OMFG. He is just the cutest thing! All those lovely little details! And that shading (especially on his hair)

He is beyond adorable!!! And it's all down to Peter Jackson and Adam Brown (who plays him); with the exception of Thorin, the dwarves don't really emerge as real individuals in the book.
