The ancient Unicornis Gigantis, the ancestor of all unicorns, was a giant hairy rhinoceros. He was gigantic, rivaling the giants and the dragons in size when he was fully mature.I know some people think of a horned horse when they say "unicorn", but I prefer to look at the real unicorn that is a prehistoric one-horned rhino for inspiration. Besides, if it was a horse, wouldn't it be called "hippocornus"?
