Since I heard that Oscar Isaac was pushing for this and John Boyega was cool with it, I ship it. It just makes sp much sense! And they're SUPER-CUTE!!
But I assuming Disney was reluctant to break that barrier since they still try to emphasize on their "Familyfriendly" rep. And maybe they figure Star Wars isn't ready.
Look how long it took Star Trek to have a LGBTQ character and they've been trying since 1998!
