Any advice on a blurred type effect between two faces of the same model to make it look like hes quickly looking in another direction with a comical expression?

Hmm, I have never done one like that... Off the top of my head I would say it would be good to have two faces, each at a different angle, it would make it easier. But either way, you could try putting a face on one layer, another on another layer and place them at a small distance apart. Then make two more layers of the face and place them in between the first two layers and motion blur them... hard to explain 0_o
You would have to do some retouching to make it look seamless too.

yes i can see this now. Maybe it was cause it has the same brightness and tone like the arm.
