I would try something else than all these branches inside your face. They create a bit of interference (for me).
Some new green stuffs following your face's lines would maybe be better!

I think it was done well. Β I've done a few photos with old textures and layers from old cameras for an interesting effect. You can search for fake-TTV and see a lot like that. As for in-camera - you can go the classic old route (yay for thinking it!!) or many new digital cameras are offering a built-in dual or more exposure capability. Β
