Description
Some Flora concepts I have made. Mostly based on real plants.
All of these are terrestrial plants. These plants can be found throughout the world that Axoloids live in.
Many species will eat these as they are. Axoloids use them to create different types of Oil and flavours.
1: Forest Pineapple
Its spikes are soft and squishy rather than hard and are fully attached to the tough skin. Some species like to give it to their young to chew on the skin and spikes as a teether.
It’s like pineapple but sweeter with a less sharp taste.
2: Prickly Lime
It’s mostly used for food, however it’s prickles make it difficult to eat.
3: Lava Lily
Severely Poisonous
They are used by some species to create fuel.
Not edible for any species. It tastes very hot and progressively makes you feel hotter. Drinking doesn’t cool you down.
4: Bounce Bud
Tastes like a mushroom, temporarily makes your digestive system glow. Useful for doctors, but it doesn’t provide any nutrients.
You can jump on these like little trampolines.
It’s considered not edible for both species. But you could eat it I guess.
5: The Funnel Cup
Mildly Poisonous
It has a very sweet liquid at the bottom. Many species will pick this up and drink the liquid from it like a cup. However it causes stomach pains and toilet troubles.
6: Purple Holly
Mildly Poisonous
Itchy, scratchy...
7: Floppy Lantern
These plants are very flexible and often flop over from the weight of the light part during the day when the light is not active. At night when the light awakens the plant springs up again as if a huge weight has been lifted.
8: Springy Pads
These Lilypad like plants grow from the land and areas that flood often. They are very big and can be used as supports for buildings. Smaller younger ones are quite bouncy and are used as little trampolines.
9: Sour Daffodil
This daffodil is often used to make air fresheners and soaps. It has a really nice smell that is more citrus than flowery. It can be eaten, but it has a rather sour and sharp taste.
10: Bowsers Rosette
A edible succulent that tastes like peach.
11: Cloud Puffs
Children believe this is what clouds come from.
They are very fluffy and soft. They are often used as plushie stuffing and to make string.
12: Honey Orb
A flower with a bright glow all times of day. It's orb looks like a ball of honey however it's taste is quite plain and boring. It's orb is thick and can be used as a meat substitute. The glowing fluid inside of it can be drained from the Orb when harvesting it to make metallic dyes.
13: Tubey Tubes
A massive succulent that is found in drier areas. It’s so big you can climb inside the tubes. But it’s best to explore this with some friends just encase you get stuck.
14: Lovers Leaves
These leaves are often used as a gift or a decoration on gifts to give to someone you love. Or they can make a nice salad.
15: Jewel Snapper
Be careful around this large carnivorous flower. The jewels are to lure you in. Yes they are real. But it takes an expert to be able to harvest them without becoming it’s lunch.
16: Stink Leaves
They may be heart shaped, but don't let that fool you. These leaves grow in areas of dim light, particularly under large trees. They smell TERRIBLE. They are the perfect gift for someone you hate, as long as you don't mind the stick rubbing off onto your hands.
17: Sticky Rose
A sweet succulent that is very sticky. It can be used to make things such as glue or candy.
18: Spongebobicus Moss
Basically a orange sponge. You could clean your car with this.
It grows in dark and moist places.
19: Fairy Leaves
These leaves are often used in salad. They are mostly water.
20: Umbrella Plant
This plant is usually used as an umbrella by those who end up caught in the rain with no umbrella. It's not the most effective solution, but it does the job.
21: Bubble Berries
Grapes? I wonder if they know that they can make wine from these.
22: The Moon Plant
This plant is quite rare and only blooms during a full moon. It is highly valuable as the orbs themselves are large glowing crystals. If they are not harvested from the plant in time the crystals explode into dust. The dust still has plenty of uses such as making an expensive glitter alternative.
23: Crying Droplets
Not only do these plants look sad. If you break the steam the plant causes you to cry like when cutting onions. However it is much stronger and can leave you crying all day.
24: Purple Spiny Moss
"Why do my nostrils whisper to meee"
25: Ostrich Leaf
If you shake this leaf enough it breaks apart into what resembles an ostrich feather.
