Interesting doesn't begin to cover it! Definitely give it a go... there's a lot of books in the series, some are standalone, some are subsequent... I suggest starting with Guards! Guards! Which is one of the best Discworld books and it's a starting book for all the books about the Guard, which are great and feature two most awesome characters from Discworld (Vimes and Carrot). Oh, look at me rambling... but I do love Discworld
