Description I wouldn't call this a tutorial, but someone asked me to make this. This isn't the 'correct' way to draw, just the way I do it at the moment. I tried to make it easy and clear....but you can tell I am not good at this . The whole process took 50 minutes or so.

Thank you. Are you talking about the one when adding colors (step 7)? Create separate layers set to multiply, overlay, soft light, color burn. On the overlay layer I used a soft brush to add all the colors. On the multiply layer I added shadows. On the color burn I emphasized certain areas (nose, lips etc), on the soft light layer I added some discrete highlights (nose, hair, eyes).

At step 8 I used the level correction function (from Clip Studio Paint, but I thing every software has this) and adjusted the Reds and Blues. Then I adjusted the tone curve a bit.

First I cant choose a pen/penicl etc which could give me so beautiful line like your. When you add some layers and start "blend" lines out. how? Then you mutiply (i heard about it but again have no diea how to do it). and add colours. How you didt it that it is not looks like simple panit thing? (burn fost light i can udnerstand but ovelay? what is it?) point 8 and 9 are for me like a fantasy
You replay me in a very simple language however I think I have still  much to learn to understand in 1005
Thanks for listenting

It depends on the software you use. I use clip studio paint and it has a pen option (I think many programs do, but in case they don't you can use a normal brush by making it small in size). Paint Tool SAI had a blending option (so does the program I use). It's like a brush that mixes the colors easily.
You can set the layer mode to multiply, overlay, soft light, color burn +other modes by going to where the layers are. When you make a new layer somewhere it should write 'Normal'. You can simply change from 'normal' to whatever mode you want. Photoshop has this as well.
It should look like this: pe-images.s3.amazonaws.com/pho…

This was very interesing to see, i love stage one 😃 but in the blending step, where do the outlines go? Do you work them in or switch them off?

I merge/ combine the outline layer (sketch) with the layer where I added the gray, shadows and highlights. So I blend them in . It's probably not the correct way to do things, but it saves you lots of time .

I don´t think there is a way of doing it right in art  but i think this is a pretty cool idea, i am not happy with my outlines atm and don´t know where to go with them

Thank you so much for showing this, I always wondered how people did the grey scale part

I am happy you like it. It's quite easy. Obviously you can play more with the art at the gray scale stage if you want a more refined result.

Thank you for the feedback and glad to hear this is useful. It's a simple method I recently discovered and it's a lot faster and easier than everything I previously did.  Time and patience are important . When I started digital art I was seeing lots of talented artists everywhere and I felt overwhelmed a bit. Good luck !

Thank you very much
To be honest, I would love to start with digital art one day, but currently I don´t dare ebcause I have no idea how to get started.
This one was pretty helpful!

I am happy you find it useful. There's nothing to fear about digital art. You just need a decent software (Sai is decent and simple, I use Clip Studio Paint). There are free trials so you can try and choose which software is perfect for you.  A tablet is optional. I used to draw with a mouse and then with my finger on a laptop touchpad. Currently I am using a Wacom Intuos pro and it does the job

Well, to find the right software shouln´t be a problem, and I will just steal my boyfriends wacom bamboo
I will let you know if I manage to create something... presentable
