art trade with squiddy62 of his character Juudara!! I love her @_@tried something new-ish with the shading, kind of a faster style. also I think I'm starting to get the hang of form finally??

but anyway, if you use sai, what brush do you use for shading?

I wish I could describe how I decide where the shading goes, I'm not the best at explaining things but I could try to make a lil tutorial or somethin?
yeah I use sai! for this piece I put down solid color for the shading with just the pen tool, then I used the watercolor tool and a soft eraser w/ low opacity to blend it out

Ooh tutorials are nice! I figured you used the eraser, I've been messing around with that, but lowering the opacity sounds like a great idea...
