I know it's huge, but I doodle on 800X600 canvases on Photoshop... so yeah...I orignally doodled these on my chem notes, but I re-drew and colored them (crappily) in here.
I would have put more time into them, but I wanted to get them done. I might go back and re-do them, but it's highly doubtful.
So, Raph gets mad for what ever reason and punches the corner of a wall. He REALLY hurts himself and gets some stone and plaster in his knuckles. He goes to Don who is worried about him/stressed about something. He begins to cry, and Raph begins to cry.
Then Raph ::super gasp:: SHOWS HIS SENSITIVE SIDE!! ::it burns!!:: and he talks Don into calming down...
YAY!! lol I'm off to bed... enjoy...

Raph punched the wall out of stress and frustration. As Don talks to him, they both break down about it. I never put a reason to it, but it would probably be something that touches a nerve, like Splinter being very ill or something...

I guess Donnies the only one he can tell or open up to. Don seems to really care for his brothers and he acts more like a big bro then Leo. He's the glue that holds them together so it's natural for him to get upset. A great piece and a fave from me.

Yeah thats true. In essance he seems more of a big bro then Leo. He's also the one they all worry about as well. Still I'm amazed that since he's relyed so much that he isn't the del facto leader.

Well, being the leader isn't easy. (I'm the oldest of 3 kids and I'm kind of like the role model, so if I do something wrong, I let my parents and brothers down.) Leo likes to take charge and keep them focused. Donnie is shy-ish and likes to play and tinker with his electronics. He does have potential tho. He would be next in line if Leo backed down.
Technically you need all the turtles. If you took any of them away, they'd be in pieces.

Technically you do need all three but Donnie seems to be the one that they all turn to when they need answers. It seems that Donnie being the most important one is the one most usally over looked. But he's also the fan favourite i think, next to raph.

I dk... I think that, if a poll was taken by a large number of people, I think that favoritism would be about equal among all four of them. Some people like Leo, some like Mikey, some like Donnie, and some like Raph. It just depends on the people.
Donnie does always have the answers though. He is the genius of the group.

True, true. That was the fact that made me wonder if Don would be a good leader. He was in SAINW. I also noticed theres very few episodes that focus on him.

yeah, I saw it the other day and was horrified at the level of violence in it. I have only watched the old 80s episodes, so when I saw that, it turned me off of the new show. But they come on at like 9 on Sunday mornings, and I record and watch the ones that I want to.
But he was a good leader there. Mostly because the others had given up, which was sad. Old April was weird... lol Donnie will always be my favorite!!
In the old episodes, there's one called "Lighten Up Leonardo", and Leo gets zapped with a personality modifier ray and becomes all lax and just wants to surf and skate board, and they needed him. They were totally lost, and it was against a villain who was blasting things with a very loud speaker system.
Leo does get fixed back to normal, and comes up with the ridicilously simple solution of wearing ear muffs. Then they defeat the villain.
I thought that it was stupid and that Don could have figured it out easily, but I guess that he needs Leo...

The new episodes aren't all like that. I tend to like the new episodes more as it is dark and gritty and thats how the comics be, but the old 80's show has it's charms. Thats interesting. Still I guess they do need leo, but the new episodes mainly show them as being a little more independent. Still, SAINW was a good Donnie episode huh?

I never read the comic, which I want to. (Is it on-line any where?) I was a kid in the 90's, so that's why I love the 80's ones. I have been watching the "best of" episodes of the new season on 4KidsTV on sunday mornings, and they aren't that bad. I don't like the Donnie-April thing that I'm already seeing. They're playing the very first episodes, so I'm only up to the point where they distroy all the mousers.
The SAINW episode made me very hesitant to the new season. The multi-headed dragon monster thing confused me. I didn't like the one-armed, not fun Mikey, and I didn't get the scarred up mini glasses thing with Leo. Splinter and Casey being dead was also not cool. I watched the episode with a "OMGWTF" face with my jaw hanging open. My brain was screaming "THESE ARE NOT THE TURTLES!!" lol But Don saved the future with that one. He was the hero and he needs his props.
See, there are 4 turtles to balance everything out. Mikey balances Raph so Leo must balance Don. Leo is all into meditation and fighting properly(Raph is just about fighting quick and hard) while Don likes to study and look at the little details and how things work and he's a geek. With out Leo, he wouldn't fight. He'd just tinker and invent things. Without Don, Leo would probably get stuck in traps and get blown up by technology.

The comics I am told are a good read. I can't get my hands on them but I have seen a few scanned panels and they do look good. I guess SAINW maybe was sorta dunking you in the deep end.The thing with Mikey was that since he had lost his arm, he had to take a more serious approach as he couldn't do the things he wanted, and the thing with leo was that he was blind. I know it doesn't look like tem but that was ONE possible future. I like the whole Don/April thing. But hey April liked Leo in the old 80's one.The balance thing seems to apply to Mikey and to Raph. As Raph is a stick in the mud and Mikeys the kid bro, they go well together. As for Leo and Don, I believe that they are balance and bond. Leo is the balance as he needs to keep everyone together, but Don seems to be on good terms with leo and Mikey, and Raph comes to him some times as well. Also he is the glue that holds them all together as he isn't one extreme or the other. This is getting deep. Also the multi headed dragon guy was someone that they beat in the last seris. Give it a chance and you might like it. The new FF is geared more toward the kid. I hope they go back to it's dark over tones like they did in the old seris. What do you thin?

Nah the reason being that in SAINW, he has a little trouble finding his way when we first see him. Also black glasses denote blindness. Also he uses a single katana as opposed to one.

I think that all the turtles, in one way or another, have had the hots for April. In the movies, it was Raph who rescued her and brought her to the lair, and Mikey calls her a "Babe" lol. I never really saw it with Leo tho...

It seems weird to some folks true but they share a lot in common and it's said that you don't care what a person is on the outside but it's the inside that counts. Plus April hugs don a lot and he's the ones to get the kisses. Also when April was kidnapped by the triceritons, he went to go save her.

it's not the inside-outside thing, its the fact that there was no showing of love for her in the 80's epis. lol We're on diffrent time levels with that. I know what the triceritons are, but I've never seen them in episdoes...

Oh right. I guess that cause it was in the 80's it was mainly aimed at kids. I guess as the fans are grown up they are looking more deeply into their characters, and they are more closely related to the comics.

True but in the 2003 version Baxters back as he was in the comic. Albeit slightly younger then his comic incarnation.

Well Leo puts part blame for Splinters death on the others. Also him being blind might upset him a bit as well.
