WARNING LONG FAIL STORY IS LONG!

Echopaw shrieked in pain and fear as she ran blindly through the undergrowth, the rogues right behind her. How had she gotten separated from the rest of the patrol so easily?
As a rogue bit drown hard on her tail, she let out a yowl and stumbled, tumbling into a deep ditch. Regaining herself, she desperately tried to climb up the sides of the ditch, but only slid back down to the bottom. The rain had softened the mud!
“Hey, kit!” One of the rogues called down to her, his eyes wild. “Are you stuck? Heh, it’s not a good idea for prey to get trapped, you know…”
“I’m not a kit! I’m an apprentice!” She hissed, her fur bristling in fear and anger. “And I’m not anyone’s prey!”
Another of the rogues stood at the edge, looking down at her. “You’re right…you’re too scrawny to fill our bellies, kit.” A crazed grin spread across his face. “Bury her.”
Panic shot through Echopaw. Bury her?! They couldn’t be serious! “You’re crazy!” She yowled, attempting to haul herself out of the ditch again. Only to slide back down.
The rogues laughed as they began to kick more mud into the ditch, slowly filling it up. Then Echopaw noticed something. A stick, not large enough to hold a warrior, but maybe an apprentice was sticking out halfway into the ditch.
With no other options, she leapt onto the branch. Hearing it begin to snap, she jumped for the edge of the above ground, flailing her paws widely, claws unsheathed. Feeling her pads touch ground, she opened her eyes and began to quickly pull herself upwards.
“Where do you think you’re going, kit?” A large dark red tom covered in battle scars stood over her, lashing his tail. “We’re not done yet.” He lashed his claws at her.

Echopaw shut her eyes tightly, preparing to be knocked down and buried. Instead, just as the rogue’s attack was about to hit, a battle cry broke out.
“Ashpaw!” She gasped in surprise, searching the area for her friend. “Help me!”
Suddenly a blur of gray slammed into the rogue, knocking him over, a deep gash in his shoulder. Ashpaw stood over him snarling. “Don’t you dare hurt her!” He turned to Echopaw and yowled desperately, “Run, Echopaw! Run!”
Without needing another order, the she-cat shot off away from the rogues. “Help! Rogues!” She shrieked as she headed towards the direction of the StormClan camp. “The rogues are invading!” Before she could get farther, another rogue crashed into her. She was bigger than the toms from before. Panic surged over Echopaw, but she flinched in pain at the large gash down her back, blood quickly oozing out of it. Her legs wouldn’t move so she was stuck lying there, back towards the rogue she-cat.
“Help me!” She wailed, looking for another StormClan cat. “Please, help!”
Suddenly Ashpaw came running out of the bramble bushes and barrelled into the rogue ,hissing furiously. He then darted in front of Echopaw protectively, his pelt bristling as the other for rogues padded up to stand behind the rogue she-cat, hissing furiously at the two apprentices.
“Go ahead! Kill me!” Ashpaw snarled at the rogues, lashing his tail, his claws unsheathed. “But I won’t let you hurt Echopaw! I’ll die protecting her from you!”

Oh the words you could put into Echopaw's mouth by the look on her face.
Echopaw: "WTFBBQ!?" That's what I think she's saying.

...yeah. Well, the story just pretty much explained everything, but you can probably guess that Ashpaw/tail and Echopaw/fur become mates. However, Grayfang the StormClan medicine cat (who died) told her this after their wounds started to heal. (They became warriors for fighting off the rogues).

Grayfang bowed his head towards Echofur, avoiding her gaze. "I'm sorry Echofur, but...you'll never be able to have kits."
Echofur's eyes widened as she whispered, "I...can't have kits anymore?"

... Well BOO-HOO GRAYFANG YOU WERE WRONG! How else would Cloudkit and Stormkit have been born if Echofur couldn't have kits?

Ashpaw, I don't like how you turned out.
